Frequently Asked Questions:
Q. I just bought a new vehicle, and the stereo system needs
help! What should I do without changing the radio?
A. In most cases, adding a subwoofer to the factory installed
system will increase volume, bass response, and add to the
overall clarity of your stereo.
Q. Should I buy a custom speaker enclosure, or is a
prefabricated enclosure good enough?
A. Prefabricated enclosures have gotten much better over the
years but subwoofers are designed for a specific amount of air space,
and this can vary from one brand to another. We design and
build enclosures that will give the best sound quality for
each individual speaker. Therefore custom enclosures are the
only way to ensure quality sound and a perfect fit for your
car.
Q. Can I add a compact disc player to my factory installed
radio?
A. Yes. Some new vehicles are pre-wired to accept a compact
disc player; you will only need to purchase a compatible unit,
and connect it to the existing stereo. Vehicles that are not
equipped this way as a standard may have an FM modulator
assisted CD Player. The FM modulator sends a signal via radio
frequency, where it is then picked up by your radio's antenna.
When you would like to listen to a music CD, you only need to
tune the radio to a pre-determined station. This is also how
most CD changers operate.
Q. I just installed an amplifier
in my car, but I hear engine noise or a whine through my
speakers. What is it?
A. It is probably magnetic interference caused by your car's
engine. To clean up the sound, make sure your radio and all
your other equipment is grounded at the same place your
amplifier is grounded cleanly and securely.
Q. I have a subwoofer enclosure
in the trunk of my car, and whenever it is on, everything
rattles and the bass is not very strong. What causes this?
A. This phenomenon is causes by the bass being trapped in your
trunk. A bandpass box ported through the rear deck, or an
infinite baffle should take care of the problem.
Q. Can I buy

get our product lines from the manufacturers, and because of
our Dealer Agreements with them, we are obligated to only sell
their products in-store.
